Oat
A native desktop productivity app built with Tauri and Rust for near-zero overhead.
Oat is a desktop productivity tool built with Tauri — the Rust-based alternative to Electron that runs with a fraction of the memory. It combines meetings, tasks, recording, search, and a built-in editor into one fast, native experience.
What It Does
The core idea is one app for everything you touch during a workday. Schedule and join meetings. Track tasks. Record calls and conversations. Take notes in the integrated editor. Search across everything. It's designed to replace the five tabs you always have open.
Why Tauri
Electron apps eat RAM. Tauri uses the system's native webview and a Rust backend, so it starts instantly and barely registers in Activity Monitor. For something that's supposed to be open all day, that matters.
